Today’s Hermannhof Winery was once the location of Kropp Brewery. The building was constructed by Jacob Strobel in 1855 or 1856. J. M. Danzer operated this brewery in 1910 at the time of the photograph. (Courtesy of Historic Hermann, Inc.’s Museum at the German School.)
