At the time this photograph was taken, Captn. Doris Outland was in Florida for two years. ---- The Banjo Player and Singer we see front and center, was at that time, 81 years old. This was his living. We are Ready to Cruise the waterways of FloridaPast, aboard The Miss Florida II on Her 40 mile Jungle Cruise across Tampa Bay, toward the Little Manatee River. - Miss Florida II was able to carry up to 100 people on any given cruise. She had the modern day ship to shore radio, and even had two clean restrooms. We would leave St. Pete at 10:30 a.m. and be back around 5:00 p.m. - Called the Jungle Cruise, because your sights would be of FloridaPast Wildlife. From aligators to eagles, turtles, porpoises, and of course, the Mangrove Swamp. -
